Blue Lake ‘Fun’ Run

- Friday 21 November
- From 07:30
- FREE
Join the Organising Committee – led by ‘Professional’ runner Matthias Wichmann – for a fun early morning run (or walk) around the natural wonder that is the Blue Lake.
Make your own way to the Blue Lake/Warwar – a natural wonder occupying one of the craters of the maar volcano after which Mount Gambier has been named.
The lake provides an ever-changing blue colour throughout the year, and luckily for us, each November – as the water warms – the lake’s darker blue changes to an intense deep turquoise blue.
The 3.6 kilometre road and walking track around the circumference provides access to many viewing points, the most popular being the underpass between the Blue Lake/Warwar and the Leg of Mutton Lake/Yatton Loo.
*Program will start at 09:30 to allow for as many delegates and partners to join in, followed by a coffee and/or breakfast at your leisure. Cafe recommendations will be updated here shortly and bookings can be coordinated if there is enough interest.
