Kilsby Sinkhole + Long Lunch at Blok
Day Trip to Crows Nest

- Wednesday 19 November
- 09:30 – 15:00
- $200 for individual activity, or $825 for the Associates Package
Your day will start on a sheep farm located amidst beautiful rolling countryside just 14km south of Mount Gambier, where you will find a unique geological feature – the Kilsby Sinkhole, and a wealth of experiences.
Once little more than a watering hole on the stock route through the Mount Schank area, Kilsby Sinkhole has been at the heart of four generations of farming activity by the Kilsby family. In that time, use of the sinkhole has changed and grown, and today it is offers a fascinating history and a host of adventures.
The Tour
Snorkelling
Take the experience a step further and experience Kilsby Sinkhole via snorkelling. Kitted out in high-quality wet-suit, fins, mask and snorkel, an experienced guide will provide a thorough safety briefing and run first-timers through how to get the most out of snorkelling. Then you’ll head down into the Sinkhole and experience the incredible water clarity that has drawn divers to the site for decades as you explore the surface of the lake.
For those that would prefer to skip the snorkelling, you’ll be treated to a Sinkhole Gin tasting.
Long Lunch at The Blok
The Blok Coonawarra is a delightful little family-owned and run winery cellar door in the world-famous wine region of Coonawarra. They have recently extended their Cellar Door to Mount Gambier where you’ll experience a delightful long lunch with matching wines on the beautiful lawns, overlooking the Blue Lake and the township below.
