Provisional Program Day 2 – Thursday 20 November

*Program Note – Influencers of Rural Surgery
This year’s Scientific Program will feature talks from key rural surgeons – ‘Influencers of Rural Surgery’ who have paved the way for future rural surgeons by fostering open and welcoming communities, and providing strong leadership, mentoring and mateship. Rural surgery has it’s unique challenges, but it also provides many rewarding aspects not always available to city-based counterparts. The vastness of our country means we are always in need of rural surgeons, and a fundamental element of the PSA is recruitment: to showcase the many positives of a rural surgical practice. We would like to acknowledge these surgeons along with the many before them, and the many more to come in the future.
